OUR INNOVATORS
Who is it for?
The Young Innovators Program (YIP) is a joint initiative by Equal Ed, Wyndham City Council and Brimbank City Council. It is designed for young people (aged 18-35) with a passion to create change and innovation in Melbourne's West.

If you live, work or play in the Wyndham or Brimbank LGAs, and have a passion for creating positive change or social innovation, then this program is for you.

Our innovators will be given access to workshops, mentors and key networks to bring a project, business or innovation to life.

There will also be a pitch to key stakeholders at the end with a pool of $5,000 in seed funding up for grabs.

Covid-Safety
Keeping Staff & Innovators Safe
The safety of our innovators, staff and partners are our number one priority. As such, the Young Innovators Program (YIP) has been designed with an online contingency for 2021.

All elements will be able to be run both online or in-person. Where possible, we will endeavour to have in-person activities and experiences. However, where health advice restricts in-person gatherings, the program can still continue virtually.

Additional support and guidance will also be provided for innovators if the program is delivered online to support with your participation.

When run in-person, all staff and innovators will be required to mask-up and strict policies for sanitising and social distancing will be in place. QR codes will also be required for contact tracing.
